Slowly Healing, But Slowly

Mustang winced slightly as he sat up in his bed, looking around. "Where....?" he started, but then shut his mouth, the pain that flowed through his body reminding him of the horrid battle his school had fought. He looked around like a madman, seeing the students sprawled in beds in chairs. OK, he had to admit, it wasn't that bad, but the scene left an empty feeling in the pit of his stomach.

Tsutoko was sitting in a chair next to the headmaster's bed. "Yo," he said, yawning as the first rays of light pierced through the windows.

(RP from here, sry if its short, wanted to start rping rly badly xD)

  1. Tsutoko rubbed his eyes. Everybody except him and Mustang were still asleep. "Rise and shine, Headmaster, but don't rise or Kasumi will kill me," he said, pointing at Mustang's meal next to him. "Have some breakfast. I just heated it up."

    ReplyDelete
  2. Mustang clenched his teeth together. "Tch," he said. His plan was already to go down to his office to finish off his work. He looked over. "Is anyone...?" he said, not wanting to utter the word. (dead.)

    ReplyDelete
  3. "And you," Tsutoko added, talking about who Kasumi would kill. "Oh, who died? Besides your sister and Sloth you mean? Nah, we're all good," he said casually, sipping at miso soup.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Mustang nodded slowly, the news ripping a giant hole in his heart. "Well, she died protecting the school. I shouldn't be sad about that...."

    ReplyDelete
  5. Tsutoko nodded. "Yeah. Congratulate Nana, by the way. I hear she killed Sloth." He pretended to brush hair out of his face when he was actually hiding his tears.

    ReplyDelete
  6. The headmaster nodded. "I always knew she had some promise," he muttered. "I'll have to do quite a bit of announcing in the next couple of days...."

    ReplyDelete
  7. Tsutoko shook his head. "No, Kasumi will. You've been ordered to stay in bed... both by your sister and the deputy headmistress. Just tell Kasumi what you want everyone to know and she'll announce it." He offered Mustang an ongiri.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Mustang took it, sighing. "What use is a headmaster if he can't even speak to his students?" he said, taking a bite.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Tsutoko gave the headmaster a look. "A Headmaster that knows if he's well he'll be able to serve his students better," he told Mustang. "No offense, but you won't be much help if you start working and get worse."

    ReplyDelete
  10. The onigiri was soon gone. Sighing (again?), Mustang leaned against the backboard of the bed and looked out the window. He could see clear blue skies, and hardly any clouds at all.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Tsutoko looked up at the sound of somebody awakening. Kasumi. She sprang up, looking panicky. "I slept for too long!" Were her first words, and she hurried over to Fuyushi and shook him awake, then shoved an ongiri in his mouth. "Eat, then you're helping us."

    ReplyDelete
  12. Yumeshi was jolted away by a violent dream. She looked around the room, rubbing her eyes, then seeing her brother. "Y-Yuzuru..." she stammered, inching next to his bed.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Fuyushi grunted and swallowed, choking slightly. Kasumi pushed him down and pulled Yumeshi away. "No. Your brother will rest. Isn't that right?" Kasumi growled, glaring at the headmaster even if he was her superior.

  14. Mustang sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Of course," he grunted, looking at his work partner. Nana's eyes opened slowly, and she sat up. "Wha....?"

    ReplyDelete
  15. Fuyushi sat up and went over before Kasumi could stop him. "Nana, are you okay?" He landed a kiss on her then pulled away. "Are you hurting anywhere?" Fuyushi ignored Kasumi's command to go back to bed.
The deputy headmistress finally marched over to drag Fuyushi away.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Nana shook her head. "I'm fine," she said, looking into Fuyushi's brilliant green eyes as he was taken away.
From the other side of the room, Anakira also began to stir.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Akinara was woken from the movement beside her and she gave a tiny little moan, turning around so that she faced him again.
Fuyushi groaned up at Kasumi. "Why are you forcing me to sleep?"
"Do you have any idea how important you are to us? You have to heal so you can help us heal others!"

    ReplyDelete
  18. Anakira looked over at Akinara. "Are you alright?" he asked. "Did you get a good sleep?"
Nana sighed. "Just do what she says," she commanded her boyfriend. "It'll do you good."

    ReplyDelete
  19. Akinara sighed. "A little too good," she sighed. "Are you okay? How's your leg?"
Fuyushi nodded sullenly and looked up obediently at Kasumi. "Fine, what do you want me to do?"
"Sleep the whole day, then heal everybody else," Kasumi said swiftly, then moved to the other side of the room to aid Takupi.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Anakira shrugged. "It doesn't hurt," she said. "A little twinge every now and then, but that's it."
The teacher had opened his eyes, and was already sitting up in his bed. "Hm....." as he looked around, thinking on how he would have to moderate his puppets.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Akinara sighed and kissed him softly. "Hm..." she hummed lightly. "I'm just glad you're okay."
Kasumi growled at Takupi. "You'd better not be thinking about your puppets now. You should be thinking of what potions you should be making for these students, like Haruki."
Haruki had awaken and was running around finding vials and poultices and potions for some more elixr.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Anakira kissed her back and sat up. "How long were we asleep for?"
Takupi cowered for a moment, then sat up straight, picking up one of the empty vials of fake elixir. There were still a few drops left in it, so he could recreate it....
Yumeshi stood up. "I guess I should help too," she said, getting some bandages.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Kasumi nodded in satisfaction. "Good." She looked at the headmaster. "You see? We can handle ourselves fine. You don't have to worry about us." Haruki looked at Kasumi. "This elixr will take 24 hours to brew, so I'll use my other vials first."
The deputy headmistress nodded her consent and Haruki went about pouring elixr into glasses of water.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Mustang shrugged. "I never said you couldn't," he said. "And since when did I worry about you?"
Takupi experimented for a moment, then procured a thick-looking, paste colored potion. "Here," he said. "When you drink it, it seals around the bones and puts them in place. For broken limbs, of course."

    ReplyDelete
  25. Akinara grimaced. "Too long. I should have been helping." She jumped off the bed and took a drink of water, drinking the elixr in it.
Kasumi rolled her eyes. "Not me, the students, idiot," she snapped, and turned back to Nana. She took Takupi's potion and dumped half of it into Fuyushi's glass. "Drink," she ordered.
    He obediently did so."

    ReplyDelete
  26. Anakira shrugged. "You were tired!" he called after her figure.
    Mustang sighed. (..............)
Nana closed her eyes as the liquid ran through her system, wincing slightly as she felt it attach to her bones.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Akinara rolled her eyes and looked back. "So were Kasumi and Yumeshi. That's not an excuse," she returned, and continued helping.
Kasumi nodded. "Good. You're still weak but you'll get better quickly."

    ReplyDelete
  28. Anakira clacked his jaws shut, not having the heart to argue or a good comeback.
Nana nodded slightly, looking over at Fuyushi. "How's it going for you?"

    ReplyDelete
  29. Fuyushi winced at the grossing taste of the liquid. "Fine. Just tastes like crap." He sighed and looked at her. "See? Told you I'd prove to you I love you more than you." He gave her a crooked grin. "Kasumi said I broke at least half the bones in my body."

    ReplyDelete
  30. Nana stuck out her tongue. "Idiot," she said. "I already knew that. You didn't have to do that!" her gaze became dark, and she bit her lip, looking downwards.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Fuyushi grinned again. "Well, I wasn't about to let you get crushed by Sloth, was I? Good job, by the way. Kasumi said you killed her." He climbed out of bed, ignoring Kasumi's glare and lay on Nana's bed beside her, curling protectively around her smaller body. Kasumi sighed. She supposed that could be allowed.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Nana had a strong urge to hit him several times, but she held herself back and leaned into him, sighing. "As long as you're alive, right?"

    ReplyDelete
  33. Fuyushi shrugged, jostling her slightly. "I guess." He hugged her to him. "I love you," he whispered into her ear, and from the other side of the room Kasumi rolled her eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yumeshi turned red as she so happened to turn backwards to face the two. She walked over awkwardly. "L-let me re-bandage your wounds!" she squeaked.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Fuyushi held back a sigh and nodded. "I'm fine, really, but if you want to..." He still had one arm around Nana as he sat up.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yumeshi shrugged. "You should always wear clean dressing," she commented. "Can't risk infection." She slowly pried off the two's bandages and applied small dabs of medicine, rewrapping them in white bandages. "That's it!"

    ReplyDelete
  37. Fuyushi nodded in thanks and and smiled his signature charming smile at Yumeshi, then pulled Nana closer to him. "You okay?" He asked her.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Nana nodded. "It stings a little, but it's OK," she said. "I can bear it." Yumeshi walked away, stopping by Mustang's bed. "S-should we change his as well?" she asked Kasumi.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Kasumi nodded. "Yeah, okay. I'll do it, go help Anakira." She then turned to Tsutoko and Takupi, ordering, "You two go look around the school and try cleaning up a bit. Fix the broken pieces. Okay? Good." Kasumi turned and looked for bandages for Mustang.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yumeshi nodded and walked over to Anakira. "Here," she said. "This won't take long." She quickly swapped the bandages and walked away.
Takupi turned to the other teacher. "Let's go!" he said, racing out of the room.

    ReplyDelete
  41. (nana is silent LOL XD)

Tsutoko sighed and walked after Takupi more calmly. "Where to first, Takupi?" He asked the other professor.

    ReplyDelete
  42. (hehe.)

Takupi shrugged. "Let's just head down the hallway for now," he said, nudging pieces of gravel with his feet.

    ReplyDelete
  43. "Okay," Tsutoko said. (comment corridor next)

Fuyushi raised an eyebrow at Nana's silence and shrugged, looking away at the others. "Hey Aki!" He called his sister, and Akinara looked up, her eyes narrowed. She whispered something in Fuyushi's ear about Anakira and he reddened. "Sorry," he muttered, and Akinara smiled. "It's fine."

    ReplyDelete
  44. Anakira leaned up against the back of his bed and sighed. He stared into space.
Nana shifted into a more confortable position.
Mustang looked over at Kasumi as she searched, thoughts racing through his mind.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Akinara suddenly held a bowl of sesame rice over Anakira. "You want some? I'm in charge of food," she grinned, and put it by his table. She went around giving people their meals.
Fuyushi grunted as he received his bowl, and handed one to Nana. "Eat," he said. "You need your energy." He then took a mouthful.
Kasumi busied about, feeling Mustang's gaze on her, but she ignored it. She got a bunch of wrapping and began unwrapping Mustang's wounds. "This will hurt," she told him as she dripped strong medicine onto the wounds.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Anakira smiled back at her and picked up the bowl, slowly eating its warm contents. He smiled as he thought, "I'm eating Akirana's cooking...."
Nana nodded her thanks, and started to eat, her stomach slowly being satisfied.
The headmaster winced slightly but shrugged. "A lot of things do," he remarked, wincing again.

    ReplyDelete
  47. (lol)

Akinara offered some to Haruki, who shook her head and said she wasn't hungry. The blonde shrugged and ambled off.
Fuyushi was starving. He was gulping down huge mouthfuls of rice, not saying a word as he ate.
"That we'll be doing, not you," Kasumi told him curtly, patting down a bandage over one part of his stomach. "You are to stay here and rest, for at least two and a half weeks."

    ReplyDelete
  48. Nana quickly finished off, wiping her mouth with a tissue from a box beside her bed. She looked over at Fuyushi.
(he meant 'a lot of things do' as in a lot of things hurt.) Mustang sighed. "Well, I can surely trust you," he said. He looked up, eyes serious. "Do the best you can."
    (uh)

    ReplyDelete
  49. (oh, sorry)

Fuyushi smiled at Nana and threw her his MP3 player. "You wanna listen? Violin concerto, Mendelssohn, in E minor."
Kasumi snorted. "Whatever." She wrapped more bandage around his legs with sticky-on-the-inside medical wrap.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Nana shrugged. "Doesn't matter," she said. "I can just play it in my head...."
Mustang shrugged and watched her as she continued to work. (...)

    ReplyDelete
  51. Fuyushi shook his head. "It's better with headphones. More real. Seriously, I've tried."
Kasumi dripped some more medicine on Mustang and plastered some more bandages on him.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Nana shrugged. "Fine," she said, and reached down for the small machine, placing the earbuds into her ears.
Mustang was still wincing, but the pain was dulling. "S-sorry for the bother," he said, looking down as she worked.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Fuyushi took out an ipod nano and began to listen to a cello and piano sonata by Beethoven. He hummed along as he drank and ate his meal.
Kasumi rolled her eyes. "Do you honestly think I'd let the students freak out and probably go crazy and cry around the school if you weren't healed? Seriously, you must be daft. I can't handle that many over-emotional teenagers."

    ReplyDelete
  54. Nana closed her eyes, letting the sounds drag her into a world of music. She felt like she was flying with the colorful notes. (.)
    (uhhhhh what.)

    ReplyDelete
  55. (hahhahahaha)
Fuyushi kept listening, and Kasumi kept healing. Akinara had began to eat her own meal, finally. Haruki was brewing her elixr for the students and especially Mustang.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Nana eventually slid back into her covers, closing her eyes. "Just five minutes...." her mind seemed to whispered, and she slept. Anakira looked around. "Anything I can do to help?" he asked, feeling useless.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Fuyushi smiled at Nana, and slowly drifted off to sleep with music in his ears as well, his arms wrapped around Nana.
Kasumi and Akinara looked up at the same time. Akinara said, "Just rest." At the same time, Kasumi told him, "You can help by resting." Haruki snorted from her position at the table, but didn't say anything.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Anakira sighed. It was just a small wound, why did he have to rest while the others were working so hard?
Nana slept calmly, hardly breathing, her dreams nothing but a blank canvas.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Haruki stirred her potion, then blew on it, and waited some more. Akinara rolled her eyes. "Just go to sleep. You'll be able to help more when you're well." She dabbed some more antiseptic on her own wounds and went to get more wrap for Fuyushi and Nana. Kasumi sighed and got the bottle of medicine for Mustang.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Anakira sighed. "Fine," he said, lying down on his bed and closing his eyes.
Mustang's eyes were half closed, his head sagging downwards. "Nngh..."

    ReplyDelete
  61. Akinara then smiled softly at Anakira, and leaned down to gently kiss him once on the mouth. "Sweet dreams." She then turned and went back to pouring medicine on Fuyushi. She removed the earplugs from Fuyushi's and Nana's ears and turned off the music, putting it on the bedside table.
Kasumi looked at Mustang. "Just sleep, it's fine. You'll be better when you're awake."

    ReplyDelete
  62. Anakira's chest rose up and down slowly with the slow breaths of sleep. Nana's did as well.
The headmaster grunted, but lay down and closed his eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Fuyushi turned over in his sleep, sweat plastering his reddish brown hair to his forehead. Akinara turned on the air conditioning and walked over to Haruki, helping her with the elixir. Kasumi plopped a blanket over him and sat down to eat lunch.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Anakira slept on, his dreams of darkness and feathers, which wasn't unusual for the young alchemist. Meanwhile, Nana dreamt of performing a professional recital with Fuyushi, their melodies coming together perfectly. Mustang slept normally, with no dreams whatsoever.

(Didn't know what else to say...)
