Yumeshi and Nana stepped inside the dorms, chatting about their previous class. They went inside and sat down, taking out books to review the day's lessons.
Akinara sensed her changing the subject, but nodded and stood up. "Let's go now," she suggested, then gathered her books and other things then put them into the bag.
Fuyushi grinned, then took her inside. He suddenly felt awkward, as he was obviously not a girl and he was in the girls' dormitory. He walked cautiously in, making sure to not to disturb anything that was already there.
Akinara stepped in with Yumeshi. They stopped, completely still, and stared.
Fuyushi stopped too. He had heard them. Obviously, Nana, with her hearing, had too. They both turned around, Fuyushi's arms still around her. "Uhh...." Fuyushi wasn't sure what to say.
Akinara stared accusingly at her brother. What had he done to their Nana?
Fuyushi felt Nana slide out of his arms, and he tightened his grip, pulling her closer (if that was possible) to him. His face was a bright, hot red. "It's not what it looks like," he said quickly and defensively.
Fuyushi instinctively held her to him in a protective manner. His face turned redder. "She was in a trance," he explained hurriedly before Akinara and Yumeshi could murder him. "Headmaster Mustang tried to wake her, but it didn't work, and I made music for her and she woke up. Then she said she was tired, and I offered to take her here." He didn't tell every single detail, because he knew that Nana wouldn't be very thankful if he did. Instead, he returned the two other girls' glares with a calm stare of his own. "I was just being nice," he amended after gazing down at Nana's peaceful, sleeping face.
Akinara, of course, knew he was telling the truth. But seriously, Nana would never do that. "What did you do to her?" She growled, eyes flaring.
Fuyushi looked positively scared. "Nothing! I didn't do anything! She just..." He wasn't sure what to say. "I should take her up..." He easily picked her up, but he lifted her gently, pulling her to him, hunched over her, and started up the stairs.
Nana opened one eye. "Huh?" she said. She looked up at Fuyushi. Her face turned scarlet and she jumped to the other side of the room, hiding behind Yumeshi.
Fuyushi leaned down, but suddenly was pushed away. Akinara, blond hair flying, glared at him. "Leave her alone! Can't you see she doesn't want you around?"
Fuyushi glared at Akinara. "How would you know?" He growled at his sister. "You aren't Nana!" Akinara glanced at Yumeshi for support. "I know her better than you do!" She hissed.
Fuyushi knew he would lose, anyway, even if Nana wanted him to say. He glared at his sister and Yumeshi, then glanced once more at Nana before marching out the door.
Akinara narrowed her eyes. "Look, I can tell I lie when I hear one. What were you doing? If you don't tell me, I'm going to assume it's something bad."
Akinara narrowed her eyes. "You aren't telling me all of it. Look, don't think I don't know what's going on with you and Fuyushi. Don't tell me that you went on a four hour date with Fuyushi and nothing happened."
Akinara quickly got serious again. She leaned forward, narrowing her eyes at Nana's face, seeming to be inspecting something. Suddenly she snapped back to her original position, an expression of horror of her face. "He kissed you, didn't he?" She gasped.
Yumeshi decided to help your friend. "Hey, it's ok," she said. "Tomorrow's sunday, you can talk more then." Nana looked up at her in appreciation. Yumeshi turned to Akinara. "Don't YOU need to work on your poster as well???"
Akinara looked at her watch. "Yeah, um, I'll go get ready for it." She turned and went for the showers, not knowing that it sounded like she was getting ready for the poster by taking a shower.
Thirty minutes later, Akinara came back out from her room, her hair wavy and falling around her shoulders. She was wearing a revealing red shirt to go with her green eyes and tight dark wash jeans that clung to her figure.
Akinara grinned at Yumeshi, her bag slung over her shoulder. "See ya, Yumeshi! I'll see you at around nine or something," she called to her friend, then left out the door. (comment next at the restaurant)
Akinara raised an eyebrow at Nana. "Don't blame me for going out with a boy," she returned. "For all I know, Nana and Fuyushi could have been making out on the roof!" Of course, she didn't know just how true her words were.
Akinara stared at her for a moment longer, then sighed. She could sense that Yumeshi only wanted to save Nana from embarrassment, so she let it slide. "Fine," she grumbled.
Yumeshi and Nana stepped inside the dorms, chatting about their previous class. They went inside and sat down, taking out books to review the day's lessons.
ReplyDeleteAkinara looked up from inside the dorms. "Hi guys!" She smiled. "How was sound, light and gravity alchemy?"
ReplyDeleteYumeshi looked up. "It was OK," she said. Nana stared down at her books, not replying.
ReplyDelete"Did you see my brother?" She asked, innocently.
ReplyDeleteYumeshi looked at her. "Yes," she answered, convinced that Nana wouldn't speak. "He was in our class. We have basic alchemy next, don't we?"

ReplyDeleteFuyushi and Nana both stumbled up to the door.
ReplyDeleteFuyushi looked down at a half-conscious Nana, and smiled. She looked so peaceful. He gently shook her awake. "Do you want me to take you in?"
ReplyDeleteNana leaned into his, erm...., body. "Don't leave," she whispered calmly.

Akinara stormed up to Fuyushi. "We'll take her," she hissed venomously. The sound right next to Nana's ear woke the sound alchemist up.
ReplyDeleteNana opened one eye. "Huh?" she said. She looked up at Fuyushi. Her face turned scarlet and she jumped to the other side of the room, hiding behind Yumeshi.
ReplyDeleteFuyushi stared at her. "Not tired anymore, huh?" He said wryly. He started towards her.
ReplyDeleteNana clutched Yumeshi's arm, wondering what was happening. Yumeshi looked down at her.
ReplyDeleteFuyushi stopped. "You fell asleep after you said that I could take you in," he explained, looking down at Nana's dark red eyes.
ReplyDeleteNana got out from behind Fuyushi and stood next to Yumeshi. "I see," she said, striking up an awkward silence.
ReplyDeleteFuyushi sighed,then walked closer to Nana, ignoring Yumeshi. "Are... you... still tired?" He asked, grinning slowly.
ReplyDeleteNana looked up at him. "N-no," she stuttered, gripping Yumeshi's hand. Yumeshi, feeling helpless, squeezed her hand back for no apparent reason.
ReplyDeleteFuyushi grinned wider. "What, are you nervous?"
ReplyDeleteNana let go of Yumeshi's hand, but was silent.
ReplyDeleteFuyushi stepped even closer. To him, neither Yumeshi nor his sister were there. He rested both his hands on her shoulders. "Nana?"
ReplyDeleteNana narrowed her eyes, but felt like drying up and dying.
ReplyDeleteFuyushi smiled slowly, and his green eyes bore into hers. "Nana...."
ReplyDeleteNana looked away, wanting to finished the textbook she had been reading before class.
ReplyDeleteFuyushi leaned down, but suddenly was pushed away. Akinara, blond hair flying, glared at him. "Leave her alone! Can't you see she doesn't want you around?"
ReplyDeleteNana looked up helplessly at Fuyushi, half wanting him to stay, but also wanting to keep up with her studies.
ReplyDeleteFuyushi glared at Akinara. "How would you know?" He growled at his sister. "You aren't Nana!"
ReplyDeleteAkinara glanced at Yumeshi for support. "I know her better than you do!" She hissed.
Nana felt torn into two. Yumeshi looked down sympathetically at her, not sure of what to do.

ReplyDeleteOnce he got out, he banged his head on the wall. "Can't believe my sister ruined it again!" He almost screamed.
ReplyDeleteNana sighed and fell into a chair, pulling out her textbook and cracking it open. Yumeshi walked over to Akinara.
ReplyDeleteAkinara was still staring that the spot where Fuyushi had vanished, her fists clenched.
ReplyDeleteAkinara saw Yumeshi out of the corner of her eyes. "Do you think that Nana could have wanted him to say?" She muttered, her jaw tight.
ReplyDeleteYumeshi looked down. "I'm not sure," she said. "I used no know her very well, but....she's become more distant...." her voice trailed away.
ReplyDeleteAkinara growled, sounding like her brother. "It's HIS fault."
ReplyDeleteYumeshi nodded silently. Nana, who was still, reading, paid no attention, but her inner self sighed.
ReplyDeleteAkinara growled and stomped to bed. "See you guys tomorrow," she muttered.
ReplyDeleteYumeshi stared after Akinara, not sure what to say, so she sat down next to Nana and stared into space.
ReplyDeleteAkinara, Yumeshi, and Nana stepped into the dorms. "We have an hour until Basic Alchemy, right?" Akinara looked at her schedule for reference.
ReplyDeleteYumeshi nodded. Nana was once again buried in a book.
ReplyDeleteAkinara walked over to Yumeshi. "So, what's been up lately?"
ReplyDeleteYumeshi thought for a moment. "I don't get why I was put in a group by myself," she pouted slightly.
ReplyDeleteAkinara smiled sympathetically. "I guess there's just an odd number. Whatever, Yurina's retarded anyway."
ReplyDeleteYumeshi sighed, and drew out her poster.
ReplyDeleteAfter a while, she stood up. "IT'S TIME FOR BASIC ALCHEMY!!!!" she said, and shook Nana.
ReplyDeleteAkinara gave her a weird look and removed her from a startled Nana. "Yeah, let's go," Akinara said, taking her arm and taking them out the dorms.
ReplyDeleteNana and Yumeshi left, trailing her from behind.
ReplyDeleteAkinara came into the dorms looking a little flushed. She spotted Nana reclining on a couch. "Hey, Nana!" She smiled. "Where were you the whole day?"
ReplyDeleteNana looked away. "Erm....studying...." she said. Yumeshi was working on her poster.
ReplyDeleteAkinara narrowed her eyes. "Look, I can tell I lie when I hear one. What were you doing? If you don't tell me, I'm going to assume it's something bad."
ReplyDeleteNana looked up at her. "Well, I went outside the school and did some shopping...."
ReplyDeleteAkinara rolled her eyes. "No crap you went out of school. If you went shopping, what did you buy?" She gave her calculating stare.
ReplyDeleteNana's eyes went dull. "I was window shopping," she said. "I spent most of my time in the cafe." Oops. She had said it.
ReplyDeleteAkinara raised her eyebrows. "By yourself?"
ReplyDeleteNana decided not to lie to her friend. "I worked on the poster with Fuyushi in the cafe."
ReplyDeleteAkinara's eyes went wide. "That was what he was asking you about in Yurina's class, right? You said yes?" She asked incredulously.
ReplyDeleteNana nodded her head. "We had to work on it," she said. "The library's tables aren't big enough."
ReplyDeleteAkinara narrowed her eyes. "You aren't telling me all of it. Look, don't think I don't know what's going on with you and Fuyushi. Don't tell me that you went on a four hour date with Fuyushi and nothing happened."

ReplyDeleteAkinara stared, then snorted in laughter. "Yeah, that sounds like him. Did he swear too?"

Nana looked up at Akinara with a very cute face. "H-huh?"

Yumeshi grinned and looked at Nana. "I'm going up to the roof while she's gone," Nana said to Yumeshi. Yumeshi nodded and Nana slipped away....
ReplyDeleteA bit later, Akinara came back, clean, in a bathrobe, with her teeth brushed as well. She glanced at a confused Yumeshi as she went by.

Yumeshi watched her leave.
ReplyDeleteAkinara came back at 8:55, a huge smile on her face, her hair a little messed up, and looking a little flush.
ReplyDeleteNana had come back to the room about an hour before. Both of the girls looked up and raised their eyebrows at the same time.

Akinara looked at both of them. "Beautiful night, isn't it?" She asked them breathlessly, her eyes bright.

ReplyDeleteAkinara looked at them now, sensing their skeptical looks and curious glances. "What?"
ReplyDeleteYumeshi looked up at her. "Looks like you had fun," she commented. Nana nodded.
ReplyDeleteAkinara raised an eyebrow at Nana. "Don't blame me for going out with a boy," she returned. "For all I know, Nana and Fuyushi could have been making out on the roof!" Of course, she didn't know just how true her words were.

Nana turned scarlet. Yumeshi stood up. "OK, OK. It's late. Why don't we all got to sleep now?"
ReplyDeleteAkinara looked at Yumeshi. "It's only nine, our bedtime's usually ten thirty."
ReplyDelete"Well, but we've been working all day," Yumeshi reasoned.
ReplyDeleteAkinara stared at her for a moment longer, then sighed. She could sense that Yumeshi only wanted to save Nana from embarrassment, so she let it slide. "Fine," she grumbled.
ReplyDeleteNana stood up and walked into the sleeping quarters. Yumeshi, however, continued to work.
ReplyDeleteAkinara sat at the couch, mentally making a list of what materials to get for her poster.
ReplyDeleteAfter a while, Yumeshi also got up to go sleep. "G' night," she muttered to Akinara as she left.
ReplyDeleteAkinara nodded. 30 minutes later, she got up and went to her bedroom, turned off the lights of outside, changed, then went to bed.
