Today's Menu:
Breakfast- Pancakes, waffles, 2 eggs any style, sausages, hash browns, oatmeal, congee, miso soup, dim sum, egg and shallot pancake, carrot and celery sticks with ranch dip, assorted breads, seasonal fruits
Lunch- Sandwiches, pasta, caesar, greek feta or rocket salad, chicken noodle soup, macaroni and cheese, sushi, congee, stir fried vegetables, grilled fish, mashed potatoes, cornish pasties, miso soup, corn and chicken soup, sashimi
Dinner- Fried rice, white rice, stir fried chicken and bell peppers, roast beef sirloin, mashed potatoes, fried fish, seafood soup, new england clam chowder, sushi, ramen, udon or soba, chazuke, caesar or rocket salad, pizza, pasta, cold tofu
Desserts- Rice pudding, jell-o, napoleon, rhubarb crumble, apple turnover, fudge with fruits and marshmallows, cherry pie, key lime pie
Beverages- Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, freshly squeezed fruit juices, sodas, beer, wine
Snacks- Wheat crackers, candies, potato crisps, seaweed, raisin crackers
Yumeshi and Nana both walked into the cafeteria, talking about sounds.
ReplyDeleteAkinara walked behind the two girls. "Hi, Yumeshi, Nana," she smiled.
ReplyDeleteYumeshi and Nana both greeted her, smiling happily.
ReplyDeleteAkinara and the other two girls sat at a table in the back. "Come on, let's get some food," she said, and led them to the stations. She got a stir-fried vegetables, sushi, miso soup, and grilled fish. She then got a lemon tea.
ReplyDeleteYumeshi and Nana both got the same thing. Nana scooped up a giant scoop of wasabi. She began to eat it happily.

ReplyDeleteAkinara finished the miso soup in a few quick gulps. She looked up at the two, and took a sushi as she spoke. "So what do you think about the other students? And the teachers? Personally, I think Yurina's a little scary."

ReplyDeleteNana and Yumeshi both nodded in sync. "I felt like she was alway mad," Yumeshi commented, while Nana noted, "She seemed really, really angry with us."
ReplyDeleteAkinara cocked her head to one side. "Maybe that's how she usually is." Just then, Kasumi Yurina walked by, and looked at them as if she knew exactly what they were talking about.
ReplyDeleteNana quickly scooped a spoonful of wasabi into her mouth. Yumeshi started to rapidly chew her sushi. Yuzuru also walked in, joining Yurina.
ReplyDeleteYurina looked at him, and then looked away. Tsutoko walked in with Kana, chatting with her.
ReplyDeleteKasumi held Yurina's stare, not letting herself look away. When she was gone, she glanced back at her friends.

ReplyDeleteAkinara finished half her sushi and began on her grilled fish before it got cold. "What do you think about my brother? He's just a bit annoying and rebellious but he's really quite nice," she told her friends.
Yumeshi and Nana thought for a while. "I thought he was OK," Yumeshi said. "He didn't really say anything," Nana commented. She lowered her voice. "What do you think about Professor Mustang? (both of them)."

ReplyDeleteAkinara shrugged. "Well, I don't know them very well, and I haven't gone to one of their classes yet, but from what I'm seen from them, they're both pretty nice."
Yumeshi nodded. Nana was silent. They both ate for a while.

ReplyDeleteYumeshi and Nana finished, putting away their trays and sighing.
ReplyDeleteAkinara finished after them. She slurped on her carton of lemon tea, and sighed. "That was a good meal." She smiled at her friends.

Fuyushi and Anakira walked into the cafeteria. Haruki was already there, sitting by herself, eating quietly away at a plate of cold tofu and sushi. Akinara, who was also there, glared at her brother then smiled and waved at Anakira. Fuyushi gave Anakira a weird look. "Why does SHE like you so much?"
ReplyDeleteAnakira looked at her. "Erm, I guess being partners on that project helped a little?" Yumeshi and Nana also walked in. Yumeshi sat down next to Akinara. Nana looked over at Haruki. "Hi," she said quietly.
ReplyDeleteHaruki smiled slightly at Nana. "Hello."
ReplyDeleteAkinara turned to grin at Yumeshi. "So how was light alchemy?"
Nana didn't know what to do, so she stood up and got some ramen, then sat back down.
ReplyDeleteYumeshi was slightly taken aback by Akinara's cheerfulness, but replied, "OK, I guess...."
Haruki finished her cold tofu and began on her sushi.
ReplyDeleteAkinara nodded. "What'd you guys do?"
Yumeshi looked at her. "Well, me and Anakira worked in our textbooks the whole time, Nana and Fuyushi did a project and Haruki, well....I think she just worked with Shinama the whole time."
ReplyDeleteAkinara kept her smile, but inside a flash of jealousy of some other girl spending a whole period with only Anakira streaked through her brain. She shook it off fiercely. Yumeshi was her FRIEND. "That's cool," Akinara smiled at Yumeshi.
ReplyDeleteYumeshi looked at her friend strangely but quickly stood up to get her meal. She came back with a giant bowl of sushi. (Her face was like ^///^)
ReplyDeleteAkinara smirked at the sushi. "So you like sushi, huh?" She said after coming back with fried rice, chicken, and bell peppers.
ReplyDeleteHaruki had finished her sushi and was sipping away at her green tea.
Fuyushi had gotten some chazuke and a bottle of oolong tea.
Nana finished up her ramen and stood up to leave. "Bye," she whispered to Haruki, and started out the door.
ReplyDeleteYumeshi grinned inwardly and proceeded to eat.
Anakira sipped his miso soup.
(XD That sounds SO lame.)
Haruki nodded, still clasping her tea with two hands and sipping.

Akinara started on her rice and bell pepper dish.
Everyone ate.
